What we track

The ledger tracks vendor, order number, purchase date, part number, part name, quantity, price, and replaceable status. That information is usually what you need before starting a vendor claim.

What vendors handle

Each vendor decides its own process. Some require PDFs, some use account order history, and some ask for manual email or return authorization steps. There is no universal claims API.

Keep docs updated with product, API, UI, and workflow changes. If behavior changes, the matching docs page should change in the same work.
